An Outstanding Investment Opportunity
I am looking for a business partner or investor, to help get the next versions of my RingMachine invention to market.
If you are interested in helping get the "Capture the Moment" Video Gift Box on the market, I'd also love to hear from you about that.
I've spent several years now getting ready for this point in time—inventing an inexpensive, simple device that creates beautiful bubble rings; applying for and receiving US patents number 6,488,270 and 6,736,375; learning about bubble rings, fluid dynamics, dolphins, and more; creating this web site and several videos about bubble rings and the RingMachine, and licensing a part of one of my patents to a major manufacturer.
Now it's time to get the swimming pool, SCUBA, dolphin toy and other versions of the device on the market.
In general I see three main versions of the device that will be produced.
The biggest selling version may be the fish tank version. It will be a small, inexpensive toy that can be placed in pretty much any size aquarium, and it will automatically create perfect little bubble rings one after another. I have already licensed a part of my first patent to an international manufacturer, and we expect to have the toy on the shelves in pet supply stores everywhere in the next month or two.
However, the only thing I licensed to that company was the right to manufacture and sell bubble ring devices which are designed for use in residential fish tanks. This leaves lots of territory for me to explore outside of my deal with them, once people all over the country have seen the fish tank device.
Probably the next version of the RingMachine toy will be for use by kids and adults in swimming pools. This version will make somewhat larger bubble rings than the fish tank version. The prototypes I have created can create the rings on command, when the person pushes a button, or they can be made to create the rings automatically, one after another. Bubble rings are incredibly fun to play with. (See the video on this site of my sister playing with bubble rings made by one of the prototypes.) I believe the pool version of the RingMachine will be the best selling pool toy, after masks/goggles, snorkles and fins. The toy will be sold in many different types of stores: toy stores, sports and scuba stores, pool supply shops, and more.
Another product I plan to bring to market will be a special enchancement of the pool version, which will be marketed as what is known as an "enrichment device" for marine animals. On other pages of this web site, you can see photos and videos of dolphins and seals playing with bubble rings from my enrichment device version of the invention. Maybe we will only sell a few dozen or a few hundred of these devices, but it will be great public relations for the product line, to have it be used in major marine mammal aquariums all over the world. I have demonstrated a bubble ring machine to zoo keepers from all over the U.S. (at the Animal Behavior Management Alliance yearly conference), and have received specific interest from animal caretakers who want to put bubble ring machines into enclosures with dolphins, polar bears, otters, penguins, and more.
Finally, lately I've been working on a version for SCUBA divers. There are divers who have created bubble rings by mouth that have travelled 50 feet before hitting the surface still intact. But it is not an easy trick to learn. The SCUBA version of my device will make it as easy as ringing a doorbell.
I'm open to listen to any possibilities in terms of partnerships etc. I have experience with angel investors and venture capital, but right now my business plan is only about 30% complete. (I figure once the fish tank version is on the shelf in pet stores everywhere, within weeks from now, the potential of the swimming pool and other versions will become obvious to just about anyone, and I can proceed from there.)
That's about all I can say here for now. I've got a 15 minute DVD video that I can send to people that are interested, so you can see some of this stuff in high resolution full motion. Just click on the "Contact" button there in the left hand column, to send me an email, or use the information below.
Get in contact with me and we can talk more in person about the possibilities. I look forward to hearing from you!

PS. If you'd like to tell a friend about this web site, here is some example text that you might use in an email:
Dear friend,
Someone I know has invented and patented a new product, and he is looking for help getting it to market. His name is David Whiteis, and the product is an educational toy that creates bubble rings. Bubble rings are like smoke rings, except they are made of pure, clean air and they exist underwater. The device is used in fish tanks, for the visually pleasing effect, and in pools, as an educational toy that also promotes fitness. The rings it creates are beautiful and fascinating. It is hard to describe them in words, but you can see pictures and videos on the web site.
David is looking for partners or investors to help him get the product on the store shelves. He has been granted two U.S. patents, numbers 6,488,270 and 6,736,375, and has applied for a third.
I'm writing to ask you if you might know of anyone that might be interested in this opportunity.

Won't you please have a look at the site? Thanks!
